DAY 1 - Los Angeles to Gallup, NM

After nine hours of driving and two stops (one for the dogs and one to eat) we made it to Gallup, NM. Unfortunately, no major BBQ joints or steak houses to write about. The one place we were going to hit, Rod's Steakhouse, was closed on Christmas.

Bright and early tomorrow morning we make the three-hour drive into Santa Fe.
